In my opinion this is just Government propaganda. The Vancouver Olympic Games are looking more+more like a total washout. We have NO IDEA how the people were hired+ how the $$$ was spent by VANOC (Vancouver Olympic Committee). It was 100% secretive+very mafiosi-like just like the fascist "behind closed doors" Police State Government we have. FALSE economic news like this is NOT! good news. THERE ARE - probably - NO! JOBS FOR FIVE TO 10 YEARS. THE ECONOMY IS STILL CONTRACTING shedding more jobs. And the $$$ is - probably - NOT! really there in ALL! those pension funds because the equity markets have severely contracted. We are - perhaps - looking at 75% contraction if Microsoft stock prices are a good indicator. Who is going to tell the pensioners? The Conference Board of Canada? (ha! ha!) We are living in the Land of Oz, my friend. Meanwhile, the Americans are taking us over. Interestingly, the Voice of America begins and ends all broadcasts with the interval signal of "Yankee Doodle".
