A *SUPER* ARTICLE - CONGRATS! - kn The article: http://news.nationalpost.com/robert-fulford Hi Mr. Robert Fulford, I must say I really enjoyed your article in today's National Post on pages B1 and B3: "TAKE CARE, COLBERT!" As a Letterman replacement, I, TOO, wonder if Colbert is going to SINK or SWIM: I suspect, moreover, THE WHOLE TALK SHOW ERA is pretty much at an end. Getting back to your article, to my mind, it was THE *PERFECT* ARTICLE. IMPECCABLE in every way if I may say: WELL CRAFTED, making EVERY WORD, EVERY PARAGRAPH, EVERY IDEA COUNT! A work of A TRUE CRAFTSMAN! You CORRECTLY NOTED Colbert has many facets (or faces) and this raises THE QUES- TION: where does that leave us with Colbert as a replacement to Letterman. You seem to suggest BEING GLIB, "BLISS- FULLY UNINFORMATIVE" is THE *UNDER- LYING* NATURE of talk shows and that being the case, Colbert might do well as a Letterman replacement after all, but we have to wait and see: I agree. You ALSO raise SOME SERIOUS CONCERNS - that I *also* have - about the USA regarding TRUTHFULNESS. When I see the History Channel showing docu- mentaries regarding the existence of aliens invol- ving people with PhD's *WITHOUT* A DISCLAI- MER that the information is presented is PURELY OF A *SPECULATIVE* NATURE, I think this is BEING *DANGEROUSLY* IRRESPONSIBLE IN- TELLECTUALLY, I think, and makes for A *DAN- GEROUS* NATION. By the way, I really liked how you started your article about "truthiness" making the point that Mr. Colbert did NOT invent the term - though the Americans would like to claim it as their own. (Ha! Ha!) THAT WAS THE HOOK that got me reading. TRUTH according to the great German philosopher, Arthur Schopenhauer, IS EVERYTHING! http://en.wikipedia.org/Arthur_Schopenhauer I agree wholeheartedly. Universities studies are based on TRUTH! THANKS for the article.
