Syracuse's MISTAKE was to LET THINGS BE when it should have been emphasizing THE
DIVERSIFICATION OF ITS ECONOMIC BASE with the involvement/help of the State of 
New York + the federal U.S. Gov't.

THE HOLLOWING OUT + DEGRADATION of U.S. cities is being allowed to happen WITH 
"NO ATTEMPT" OF REMEDIAL ACTION in order to turn things around: there are only 10
U.S. cities that have any economic growth. THAT'S NOT ENOUGH to carry the day.

It's THE SINKING OF THE TITANIC over + over + ... AGAIN!

THE STORY OF THE U.S. GOV'T is just that - AS WELL: THE SINKING OF THE TITANIC.
