I'd love to go to Bali and meet with THIS EXCEPTIONAL ROYAL COUPLE. :D

Back in 1975, I had a good Indonesian friend in my 2nd year German 
course at the University of Ottawa: he told me A QUICK WAY TO
MAKE MONEY was to write a book. I'm working on it. (Ha! Ha!)

THE OTHER THING HE SAID, that dates are always part of
Indonesian festivaties. :D

IN ADDITION, I'M VERY HAPPY TO ADD, as a Senate of Canada Page, 
I got to see President Suharto + his wife VERY CLOSE UP in 1976 or 
1977 when they came alone to the Senate of Canada as guests to a 
dinner for a handful of guests given by Franco-Ontarian Senator 
Rhéal Bélisle: I was surprised by how short the were. 

NEEDLESS TO SAY, It was A REAL HONOUR for me to see them 
both so close up. :D

I was VERY IMPRESSED BY THEIR "ROYAL" DEMEANOR. 

I heard so much about President Suharto and, there, he was in 
front of my eyes with his lovely wife: I COULD NOT BELIEVE
MY LUCK.

THE OTHER good Indonesian friend I had was in my Masters 
ESL Curriculum Design course in 1996 at Carleton University 
in Ottawa: a handsome Catholic priest.

Catholic churches were being burned down at the time: as a 
French-Canadian Catholic myself, I sympathized with him.

IT IS TO BE NOTED THAT INDONESIA IS A "VERY" IMPORTANT 
COUNTRY IN WORLD AFFAIRS because of THE SIZE OF ITS 
COUNTY and, most importantly, BECAUSE IT'S A "MODERATE" 
MUSLIM NATION.

I look forward to visiting THIS GREAT NATION - some day.
